Down and dirty Advent calendar with numbers from Ikea. It occurred to me this morning I’ve had these numbers since last year, and haven’t used them. And since I’ve yet to find an Advent calendar I like… prop them up against a collage I made this morning…well, Voila!

The collage is a Starbucks bag I cut up, rearranged and framed. I loved the hand drawn looking design.

A better look at the collage. I may add some more leaves and berries later. The black stand is Dollar Tree, and I find those clip frames all the time at the thrift store.

I wanted a way to make these Yankee Candles look festive (Mistletoe on the left; Christmas Wreath on the right. Love them because the smell just like what they’re called! Real ones have a slightly musty scent, and aren’t super sweet!)

So I took part of the garland that is a little too long for my tree and made little wreaths for the candles. I also don’t like the labels, so I turn them around and the colors work with the rest the tablescape.
